A Memphis treat from The Molton’s

A few weeks ago I took a trip to Memphis, Tennessee to photograph the wonderful, fabulous, super sweet Molton family :-) . This session was so much fun on so many levels, but the two things that stood out for me the most was the togetherness of this family and the love. Throughout the entire session this family interacted as a cohesive unit. They joked, they played, and they were each models in their own right! It was sooo much fun to be apart of the family time with the Molton’s and even more fun to share in their excitement over the photos. I believe Apryl and I have text so many times that we are now BFF’s :-) .

All in all, it was fun to capture Apryl who SAID she was not photogenic but with the help of Kris we got some great photos. Not to mention KJ who didn’t want to crack a smile and literally ran from the camera but ended up with some of the best pictures which from what I hear he was so excited to see. I can’t forget Miss Kris who is the cheerleader/model in the making and was picture ready. Mr Jordan…Our 2012 Senior was also on deck as our male model BUT he had strong competition with Dad Keith on who would get the ‘Best Model’ award:-) In the end I think they all won the best model and one the best families awards.

I had a GREAT time with Apryl, Keith, KJ, Jordan and Kris and I cant wait to photograph this family in the future…..

One of the absolute most beautiful families ever…The Mills

Have you ever met a family that was totally in sync? Have you ever met a family where not only they were family but they were genuine friends as well? Have you ever met a family that was genuinely just all around nice AND supportive?? I have and that family is the Mills (Owens/Purdue) and I can honestly say that I love them all to pieces.

This shoot was a lot of fun…I mean really …a lot of fun! I believe Mama Mills out shined them all :-) . Not only was she photogenic but she made the most fun out of it.Tiffany was the true diva (in a good way!) and knew exactly how to pose and ultimately be the perfect model. Stephanie was the happy one with the genuine smile. Ms. Kenny…what can I say…she was serious one minute and when the camera lens fell on her….she broke out the cover girl smile. Dont let me forget to mention the interaction between them all that truly showed how great they are as a family, their beautiful personalities and how wonderful they are to each other.

I had a great time catching the smiles and the laughs of this fabulous family. I am truly appreciative of how supportive this family is of me and their friendship over the years. I soooo look forward to photographing this family again in the future. The Beauty of Love between a Mother and Son…

Two of my favorite clients are Ms. Keneisha and Mr. Brayden Harris. Not only do Keneisha and Brayden love pictures but they have a great love for each other and it shows. It is fun to see the gentleness and playfullness between the two. It is fun to see the kindred spirits and the sweetness. It is fun just to be in their company. I overly enjoy the relationship that I have built with these two. I love the texting and sharing with Keneisha and the genuine hugs from Bray Bray when I see them out. It means alot when Bray Bray will tell others that Ms. Tiffanie is his photographer all the way at Disney World :-)

This week I am posting a few more photos from their session. Initially I just posted the Sneak Peek but now I finally get to share a full post. During this session after Keneisha’s long spill about not liking to take pictures by herself and her pictures never turning out good….I got to actually photograph Keneisha by herself…and……she loved the pics…lol! check them out below along with the photos of her and Brayden that beautifully show the beauty of the Love between a Mother and Son.

One of the best things ever is when your clients become your friends…Not only is it good to develop that relationship but the sessions go even better with a familiar face and someone you know. Last weekend I photographed two of my favorite clients…Ms Keneisha and Brayden (Bray Bray). As always I had a great time with these two. It is so much fun to see the love between a mother and son. I am so happy to be able to share with you a peek into their session. Stay tuned for a post of the full session. I promise it will not disappoint! In the meantime, take a look at Brayden’s last session this past fall…this boy is a model in the making!!

Oh and before I forget….This session was done just in time for Mother’s Day (Less than 4 weeks and counting)…If you are at a loss of what to give your Mom or Grandma for Mothers Day, be sure to think of a mini Session that is designed just for you…Or Mom’s you can ask for a mini session as well…I promise you will be thankful in 20 years when you have a quality photo to look back on :-)

While on my way to my session with Syleah she sent me a text indicating that her mom wanted to tag along. I replied back that it was cool but be sure to tell your Mom to be ready to jump into a few shots herself. The results I must say are fantastic!

This Mother and Daughter Duo were great! Mrs Allen worked the sidelines of the session by coaching Syleah …. which worked out great because after all who knows Syleah best? her Mom!!

After Part 1 of the shoot I was able to get a few shots of the two of them together. I must say it is great to see a mother and daughters love and friendship. I am so happy to have had a chance to capture this because after all one day in the future this is going to be a great picture to have and reminisce over. Not to mention, the timing is great… it is a great Mother Day gift for Mrs. Allen because afterall a picture holds memories and speak millions of words. I think they will be happy to look back at this picture and smile. What do you think? Speaking of which what are you getting your Mom for Mother’s Day? A picture is always a great gift!

From my recent contest (Tis the Season) I picked two families as winners of the contest. I introduced the first family last week (The Hutchins) and this week I am very happy to introduce the Washington’s. Marketta, Jordan and Angel! I had the extreme pleasure of photographing this mother, son and niece not too long ago. The thing I enjoyed most was meeting Mr. Jordan. He was one of those kids that you can honestly say is a really good kid. He was bright, personable, and full of life. You could definitely see that his mom has done an extremely good job raising  him and you can also see the love between this mother and son….All I can say is …Priceless. I can’t leave Miss Angel out…She is truly a diva in the making. She was all smiles and laughs…until….the camera was turned towards her. At that moment she would get serious..a.k.a diva mode! As you can tell, shooting this family was a whole lot of fun. I hope that you all enjoy viewing these pictures just as much as I enjoyed taking them! Have a great day!

Tis the season for The Hutchins….

Sometimes it’s the effort that you take to help others around you out that counts the most. Although we all have to make a living, it is nice sometimes to step back and give back. This past November, I hosted the ‘Tis the Season’ contest for single parents in the area. From this contest I picked two deserving families to give a free mini photo session. This post is dedicated to one of the two families that entered and won a free session.

Introducing The Hutchins!!!!! I had soooooo much fun shooting this family. I truly did. I have to give a special shout out to Oak Mountain Senior A’Keria. This young lady was a true model on this day. She needed no coaching form me. She was an expert in posing not only herself but especially her brother as well. Mr. Kristian was a character himself. He and his cousins kept me laughing throughout the entire mini session. Initially mom, Arnetria, wanted the focus to be on Kristian and A’Keria but by the end of the session I was able to get her into a few of the shots as well and I must say that I am very happy that she did. From this mini session I was able to get several different great pictures. I hope that you all enjoy viewing these just as much as I enjoyed taking them.

The Malone’s Part 1

Welcome 2012 and Happy New Year!!!!!!!!

Have you ever seen a family that is put together jusssstttt right??? That is what you see when you see the Malone family. You see a man and a woman who look at each other with total love, a brother who absolutely adores his older sister and a sister who watches lovingly over her younger brothers. You see complete harmony….It may seem a little sugar coated and fairy tale like but when you look at this family you see God at work and you see his blessings.

I had a great time photographing the Malone family. Thinking back one of the most memorable things was how well we all worked together to make this session happen. Blake, Bryce, and Jannelle were all camera ready and showed so much sibling love. Now this post is a little short compared to my norm but I can only say so much without going into Part 2 of the Malone session… Stay tuned for a true romantic in action **wink wink** you will not want to miss Part 2!!

The Purdue’s

I met the Purdue’s seven years ago through, at that time, a mutual acquaintance (inside joke :-D ) . Since I have met them I can honestly say that this family is one of the most beautiful families that I know. This doesn’t stop just at the immediate family but the WHOLE Mills and Purdue clan. They are a family that you just love inside and out with beautiful personalities, loving hearts, and genuine spirits.

The fun part about photographing the Purdue family is actually seeing this family grow right before my eyes. I remember the time before Steph and DeJohn even began thinking about kids and before I even thought about being a photographer. To watch them grow from that point till two children later has been very touching and endearing to me. Not only that I am so very thankful that Steph has been so supportive in allowing me to photograph the family over the past few years. Not only that but Steph gives great critique, words of encouragement, and assistance whenever I call (no matter what the subject is!). For that I am very grateful and think of Steph as one of my best friends. Steph I am so happy that we met….things happen in life that bears great fruit **wink wink**

OK so I can’t leave out DeJohn, Hunter, and Mason. The men of the Purdue family. Over the years it has been great getting to know Dejohn and knowing that he is smiling when you never think that he is. Hunter and Dejohn give true meaning to the phrase ‘Two peas in a pod’ and ‘Like father like son’. The bond between a father and a son is so beautiful to see in these two. Now Mason is new on the scene and it Is going to be fun to see whose likeness he will gain….either Steph’s or Dejohn’s…we shall see! I hope that you all enjoy seeing some of the pictures from the Purdue session as much as I enjoyed taking them . As an added bonus I have added a picture from last years shoot so that you too can see how this beautiful family has grown.

2010:

The Jones

Last weekend was a beautiful fall day for a somewhat impromptu shoot with The Jones…Devinne, Ayanna, Kaylinne, and Krishna…My bestie , her family and my God children. As usual it was great to see one of my favorite families interacting with each other. It always brings a smile to my face to see Ayanna bring the happiness and smiles out of Dev, Kaylinne, and Krish.

The wow factor of this shoot is seeing the growth of the family and how they have evolved. It doesn’t seem like a year since I have shot them last but it has been. In that year Kaylinne is almost as tall as me and is truly a little lady. Krish has grown to be a little boy with a lot of personality (like his mom! ). It’s at times like these that you look and see that they are growing sooo fast before my eyes. If I could pump the breaks I would because it floors me every time I look at Krish and Kaylinne and feel that it seems like it was just yesterday that I was holding them as newborns.

On the flip side it doesn’t seem that long ago that Dev and Ayanna were dating at Auburn University. Wow…time truly flies….The exciting part about the time that has passed is to see the growth of my friendship with the Jones….and to see the growth of the Jones as individuals…

Pictures truly speak volumes over time. I hope that you all enjoy the Jones as much as I enjoyed shooting them….
