The Beauty of Love between a Mother and Son…

Two of my favorite clients are Ms. Keneisha and Mr. Brayden Harris. Not only do Keneisha and Brayden love pictures but they have a great love for each other and it shows. It is fun to see the gentleness and playfullness between the two. It is fun to see the kindred spirits and the sweetness. It is fun just to be in their company. I overly enjoy the relationship that I have built with these two. I love the texting and sharing with Keneisha and the genuine hugs from Bray Bray when I see them out. It means alot when Bray Bray will tell others that Ms. Tiffanie is his photographer all the way at Disney World :-)

This week I am posting a few more photos from their session. Initially I just posted the Sneak Peek but now I finally get to share a full post. During this session after Keneisha’s long spill about not liking to take pictures by herself and her pictures never turning out good….I got to actually photograph Keneisha by herself…and……she loved the pics…lol! check them out below along with the photos of her and Brayden that beautifully show the beauty of the Love between a Mother and Son.

A few weeks ago my college friend and I met up for the first time in a long time. We both attended Auburn University together, we lived next door throughout college, and we went through Inroads (college internship program) together. So I would say we grew up and matured together, we shared tons of good times and road trips and most importantly we share a friendship that has gone full circle.

When we met up I had the chance to hang out with her and her girls and just so happened to snap a few pictures in the process. It wow’s me at how far we both have come over the last 10 years. We are both totally blessed. I hope that you all enjoy a few of the snap shots below!

Some of the best photography sessions are those with whom you have a good relationship with…of course. With that said this session was the bomb.com :-) . Although I am an only child,Evan is my nephew. I know you are wandering…huh? But you know those relationships where you know a family since the day you were born? This is one of those relationships. I have known the Ruggs since the day I was born and we have grown up living two houses apart, we rode to school together everyday, and we have ‘family’ functions. It’s just natural that they are my family even though there may not be a ‘blood’ connection…ya know?!

I can say that hands down Evan is the best baby all around. Not because I am biased but he hardly ever cries, you can place him in one spot and he will play, he likes to give kisses and hugs, he loves to smile and laugh and on top of all of that he is just super cute! I photographed this session about a few weeks shy of his 1st birthday. This just so happened to be his first time outside to play. So you can imagine the looks that he had on his face as he adjusted and became acquainted to his surroundings. Not once did he cry or get upset or even fuss because it was a little nippy. He just played just for me to photograph! He might not have known completely what was going on but in the end I think he had a good time.

From my recent contest (Tis the Season) I picked two families as winners of the contest. I introduced the first family last week (The Hutchins) and this week I am very happy to introduce the Washington’s. Marketta, Jordan and Angel! I had the extreme pleasure of photographing this mother, son and niece not too long ago. The thing I enjoyed most was meeting Mr. Jordan. He was one of those kids that you can honestly say is a really good kid. He was bright, personable, and full of life. You could definitely see that his mom has done an extremely good job raising  him and you can also see the love between this mother and son….All I can say is …Priceless. I can’t leave Miss Angel out…She is truly a diva in the making. She was all smiles and laughs…until….the camera was turned towards her. At that moment she would get serious..a.k.a diva mode! As you can tell, shooting this family was a whole lot of fun. I hope that you all enjoy viewing these pictures just as much as I enjoyed taking them! Have a great day!

Sometimes it’s not until later in life that you realize how beautiful and dramatic light can be. It’s not until later in life that you feel and appreciate the warmth and happiness that light brings to your life. All the beauty, all the drama, all the warmth, all the happiness are brought from God.

‘And God said, “Let there be light” and there was light. God saw that the light was good, and he separated the light from the darkness’ (Genesis 1: 3-4)

This week my photo is reflection on the symbolism of light and the beauty that it shows us in more ways than one. As I took this picture the sun flared off my lens to create this beautiful picture that made me think of light and what it means. Look around today and see the simple beauties of light. Little Miss McKenzie Moon is a beautiful little princess if I must say so myself. During this session she gave her mom, Karmen and I a run for our money lol! Although she gave us a run for our money Karmen and I had a great time getting a few shots of Miss Mckenzie. I can already see she is going to be beautiful young lady. Stay tuned for Part 2 of this shoot in the next couple of months!

The Purdue’s

I met the Purdue’s seven years ago through, at that time, a mutual acquaintance (inside joke :-D ) . Since I have met them I can honestly say that this family is one of the most beautiful families that I know. This doesn’t stop just at the immediate family but the WHOLE Mills and Purdue clan. They are a family that you just love inside and out with beautiful personalities, loving hearts, and genuine spirits.

The fun part about photographing the Purdue family is actually seeing this family grow right before my eyes. I remember the time before Steph and DeJohn even began thinking about kids and before I even thought about being a photographer. To watch them grow from that point till two children later has been very touching and endearing to me. Not only that I am so very thankful that Steph has been so supportive in allowing me to photograph the family over the past few years. Not only that but Steph gives great critique, words of encouragement, and assistance whenever I call (no matter what the subject is!). For that I am very grateful and think of Steph as one of my best friends. Steph I am so happy that we met….things happen in life that bears great fruit **wink wink**

OK so I can’t leave out DeJohn, Hunter, and Mason. The men of the Purdue family. Over the years it has been great getting to know Dejohn and knowing that he is smiling when you never think that he is. Hunter and Dejohn give true meaning to the phrase ‘Two peas in a pod’ and ‘Like father like son’. The bond between a father and a son is so beautiful to see in these two. Now Mason is new on the scene and it Is going to be fun to see whose likeness he will gain….either Steph’s or Dejohn’s…we shall see! I hope that you all enjoy seeing some of the pictures from the Purdue session as much as I enjoyed taking them . As an added bonus I have added a picture from last years shoot so that you too can see how this beautiful family has grown.

Introducing Mr. Brayden Harris!

There is one thing that I am sure of and that is Mr. Brayden Harris is destined to be a model when he grows up! Not only did he play towards the camera but in fact he even gave me lessons on how to hold my camera! I must say that this photography session was so much fun from beginning to end. I had the opportunity to capture the many sides of Brayden….from the studious side, to the silly side, to the playful side, and last but not least the Mr. Cool side. One thing that I learned during this fun session was that Brayden and I share a love for trains and train tracks. It was on a set of tracks where Brayden let loose and showed his wonderful and fun personality. I know for sure that Brayden will eventually share a love for the camera just from or interaction before and on this shoot.

Not only did I enjoy photographing Brayden I also had a great time working with his mom Keneisha on planning out the session. She did a wonderful job of putting together the outfits, meeting up with me prior to the session, and being a wonderful supporter thoughout the session. I must say that this session goes down in the books as one of the best. I hope that you like some of the pictures from Mr. Harris’s shoot as mush as I enjoyed taking them!

The Vreelands!

A beautiful Day for a beautiful family. I had the absolute pleasure of shooting the Vreeland’s this past Saturday…and let me tell you I had a great time with them. One of the highlights from the shoot was Miss Tori. She was truly my little helper during the shoot. Not only did she pick out locations where she wanted her pictures taken but she also directed her parents shots AND at the same time she was truly a model herself with a beautiful princess smile. Not once did she get tired, not once did she get upset but the whole time she showed what a beautiful child she was inside and out.

Now I can’t focus completely on Miss Tori, although she stole the show, but I have to turn attention to her parents Jeff and Jenny who are truly a set of great parents. They were as easy going as easy going could be and they were truly a pleasure to work with. Thank You Jenny and Jeff for entrusting me with your family pictures! I hope that you enjoyed the session just as much as I enjoyed capturing the moments of your family….Without further pause I present to you…The Vreelands!

The Jones

Last weekend was a beautiful fall day for a somewhat impromptu shoot with The Jones…Devinne, Ayanna, Kaylinne, and Krishna…My bestie , her family and my God children. As usual it was great to see one of my favorite families interacting with each other. It always brings a smile to my face to see Ayanna bring the happiness and smiles out of Dev, Kaylinne, and Krish.

The wow factor of this shoot is seeing the growth of the family and how they have evolved. It doesn’t seem like a year since I have shot them last but it has been. In that year Kaylinne is almost as tall as me and is truly a little lady. Krish has grown to be a little boy with a lot of personality (like his mom! ). It’s at times like these that you look and see that they are growing sooo fast before my eyes. If I could pump the breaks I would because it floors me every time I look at Krish and Kaylinne and feel that it seems like it was just yesterday that I was holding them as newborns.

On the flip side it doesn’t seem that long ago that Dev and Ayanna were dating at Auburn University. Wow…time truly flies….The exciting part about the time that has passed is to see the growth of my friendship with the Jones….and to see the growth of the Jones as individuals…

Pictures truly speak volumes over time. I hope that you all enjoy the Jones as much as I enjoyed shooting them….
